A Potluck Party ( Role Play )

[ An Example of A Potluck Party ]

Attention

Each student must speak at least three times.

  1. Arriving at a party
  2. During dinner
  3. Leaving a party and thanking the host /hostess


During the party they must ask:

  1. What did each person bring?
  2. Ask someone to try some food.
  3. What is the name of the dish?


If you use photos of the dishes( or real food ), it makes the party enjoyable.
You can use photos in " What is the name of this food?" .


Host( Hostess )--- the person who gives the party

Guest --- the person who goes to the party



A scenario of a potluck party

Put adequate expressions in the blanks to complete your scenario of a potluck party. Use THE EXPRESSIONS IN A POTLUCK PARTY . Play every role in a group of four.


A --- the host ( or hostess ) of the party

B --- Guest1   C --- Guest2   D --- Guest3, who is late for the party



( Guest 1 and 2 get to the host's house. They ring the bell or knock the door.)
